Romania’s consumer prices dropped for the seventh consecutive month in December, figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Wednesday.

The consumer price index fell 0.9 percent year-over-year in December, slower than previous month’s 1.1 percent decrease. The measure has been falling since June 2015.

Grocery prices declined 6.2 percent in December from a year ago, while prices of non-food products went up by 1.1 percent. Costs for services also registered an increase of 2.4 percent.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.1 percent at the end of the year.
