Romania’s unemployment rate held steady at the end of the year, after falling in the previous two months, preliminary figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted ILO jobless rate came in at 6.7 percent in December, the same rate as in November.
In the corresponding month last year, the unemployment rate was 6.6 percent.
The number of unemployed people climbed to 626,313 in December from 620,809 in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 609,361.
