Slovenia’s import prices decreased for the sixth consecutive month in January, figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Tuesday.
The import price index fell 1.9 percent year-over-year in January, faster than the 1.4 percent drop in the previous month.
Among the main industrial groups, energy prices declined the most by 8.0 percent annually in January, followed by the intermediate goods with 4.2 percent decrease. At the same time, capital goods sector registered an increase of 1.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, import prices dipped 0.8 percent at the start of the year, which was worse than the 0.4 percent fall in December.
