Slovenia’s import prices increased for the first time in twenty months in March, final figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Wednesday.
The import price index rose 0.3 percent year-over-year in March, in contrast to a 0.9 percent decrease in February. In January, prices had fallen 1.5 percent.
Among main industrial groupings, prices of capital goods grew 1.4 percent in March from the previous year and that for intermediate goods climbed by 1.2 percent. At the same time, energy prices registered a decline of 5.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, import prices went up 0.6 percent in March, reversing a 0.1 percent slight drop in the prior month. It was the first increase in five months.
