Slovenia’s registered unemployment rate dropped for the fourth straight month in May, final data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Thursday.

The registered jobless rate fell slightly to 12.3 percent in May from 12.5 percent in April. In the corresponding month of the previous year, the unemployment rate was 13.0 percent.

The number of registered unemployed persons decreased to 112,385 in May from 114,923 in the prior month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 119,670.

Meanwhile, the number of employed people increased by 1,950 to more than 804,900 in May from the preceding month.
