Slovenia’s economic sentiment indicator improved marginally in October after falling in the previous month. Figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Monday.

The seasonally adjusted economic sentiment index, which combines both business tendencies and consumer surveys, rose to 6.1 in October from 6.0 in September. In August, the reading was 6.9.

The index measuring confidence in the manufacturing sector strengthened to 7 in October from 5 in the preceding month. Similarly, services confidence climbed to 18 from 16.

The morale for construction sector improved to -14 in October from -18 in the previous month.

At the same time, consumer confidence indicator dropped to -11 in October from -6 in September. Confidence in the retail sector also weakened in October, with the index falling notably to 15 from 23.
