Slovenia’s output prices decreased for the first time in seven months in August, figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Monday.

Output prices fell 0.4 percent year-over-year in August, reversing a 0.2 percent increase in the previous month. In June, prices had risen 0.6 percent.

Both domestic and foreign market prices dropped the same 0.4 percent in August from a year ago.

Electricity prices dipped 4.9 percent annually in August and that for mining and quarrying dropped by 0.5 percent. At the same time, prices in the manufacturing sector edged up 0.1 percent.

On a monthly basis, output prices declined 0.3 percent in August, following a 0.2 percent fall in the preceding month. It was the fourth month of decrease in a row.
