Consumer confidence in South Korea improved slightly in July, the latest survey from the Bank of Korea showed on Friday, as its index climbed to a score of 100 from 99 in June.
Consumer sentiment on current living standards was lower by one point than in June at 89, while that for their future outlook was three points higher at 99.
Consumer sentiment regarding current domestic economic conditions was two points less than in June at 63, while that for their future outlook was seven points higher at 86.
Consumer sentiment on prospective changes in household income was 100, up by two points, while that on expected spending remained unchanged from the month before at 105.
The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.6 percent.
