Consumer sentiment in South Korea ticked higher in April, the latest survey from the Bank of Korea showed on Friday, with an index score of 104.0 – up from 101.0 in March.
Consumer sentiments on current living standards and for their future outlook were both two points higher than in March, at 92 and 100 respectively.
Consumer sentiment regarding current domestic economic conditions was up by five points compared to March at 77, and that for their future outlook was higher by three points at 91.
Consumer sentiment on prospective changes in household income was two points above that during the month before at 101, while that on expected spending remained unchanged at 106.
The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.5 percent.
