South Korea’s money supply growth eased for the second straight month in November, preliminary figures from the Bank of Korea showed Wednesday.

M2, a broad measure of money supply, climbed 7.7 percent year-over-year in November, slower than the 8.8 percent hike in the previous month.

On a monthly basis, M2 money supply increased at a faster pace of 0.4 percent in November, following a 0.1 percent rise in October.

Annual growth in liquidity also moderated to 7.8 percent in November from 9.0 percent a month earlier.

Likewise, liquidity of financial institutions grew at a slower pace of 9.2 percent yearly in November, after a 10.2 percent spike in the preceding month.
