South Korea’s unemployment rate held steady in November, in line with expectations, figures from Statistics Korea showed Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate came in at 3.4 percent in November, the same rate as in the previous month. The figure was also matched with consensus estimate.
In the corresponding month of the preceding year, the unemployment rate was the same 3.4 percent.
On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate also remained unchanged at 3.1 percent in November.
The number of unemployed people decreased to 829,000 in November from 839,000 in October. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 818,000.
