Spain’s consumer prices increased for the first time in a year in June, final data from the statistical office INE showed Tuesday.
Consumer prices climbed 0.1 percent year-on-year in June, which was the first increase since last June. Prices were down 0.2 percent in May. The annual rate matched flash estimate.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 0.3 percent following a 0.5 percent growth in May. This was the slowest growth in four months and came in line with preliminary data.
The harmonized index of consumer prices remained flat on a yearly basis after falling 0.3 percent in May. Month-on-month, the harmonized index gained 0.2 percent. The statistical office confirmed flash figures.
