Spain’s economic growth eased as estimated in the third quarter, final data from the statistical office INE showed Thursday.

Gross domestic product grew 0.8 percent from the prior quarter, when the pace of growth was 1 percent, the fastest since early 2007.

The statistical office confirmed the preliminary estimate released on October 30.

Year-on-year basis, GDP grew 3.4 percent in the third quarter, which was the strongest since the final three months of 2007, when the expansion was 3.6 percent.

In the second quarter, the economy grew 3.2 percent.

On the expenditure-side, household spending advanced 1 percent sequentially and general government spending by 0.9 percent. Investment climbed 1.1 percent.

Exports and imports grew 2.8 percent and 4 percent, respectively.
