Spain’s industrial production grew at a faster pace in September, the statistical office INE reported Friday.

Industrial production advanced by adjusted 3.8 percent in September from a year ago, faster than the revised 2.8 percent increase seen in August.

On an unadjusted basis, industrial output growth eased to 4 percent from 5 percent in August.

Month-on-month, industrial output climbed 1.2 percent in September, reversing a 1.4 percent fall in the previous month. A similar rate of growth was last seen in March and was the fastest since April 2013.

Among components, output of capital goods surged 11.7 percent annually, while energy output fell 4.6 percent. At the same time, consumer goods output grew 2.2 percent and intermediate goods production climbed 5 percent.
