Spain’s retail sales grew at a slower pace in May, figures from the statistical office INE showed Tuesday.
Retail sales climbed by calendar-adjusted 2.3 percent year-on-year, slower than the 4 percent growth seen in April.
On an unadjusted basis, retail sales growth eased sharply to 2.8 percent from 6.3 percent a month ago.
Month-on-month, retail sales dropped for the first time in six months. Sales declined 0.9 percent following a 0.5 percent rise in April and 0.6 percent increase in March.
