FXStreet (Mumbai) – As per the data released by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators raised their overall bullish bets in WTI oil futures last week for a second consecutive week.

The non-commercial contracts of crude oil futures witnessed a change of +4,560 contracts to total +347,991 contracts during the reporting time period May 19th to May 26th. Long positions in oil futures decreased by -2,614 contracts, while short positions fell by 7,174 contracts.

Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, the WTI crude oil price inched up from USD 57.99/barrel to USD 58.03/ barrel. Brent crude prices fell from USD 64.02/barrel to USD 63.72/barrel.
