Sweden’s unemployment rate increased in June, after falling in the previous four months, data from the Swedish Public Employment Service/AMV showed Wednesday.
The jobless rate climbed to 3.8 percent in June from 3.6 percent in May. In the corresponding month last year, the rate was 3.9 percent.
On seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment dropped slightly to 3.9 percent in June from 4.0 percent in the preceding month.
At the end of of June, 346,000 people were registered as unemployed with the Employment Service, 8,000 fewer than the same month of 2015.
The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 18-24 age group, fell to 11.1 percent in June from 12.7 percent a year ago.
