The Swiss franc strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Thursday.
The Swiss franc rose to a 3-day high of 129.74 against the yen and a 2-day high of 0.9333 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday’s closing quotes of 129.45 and 0.9368, respectively.
Moving away from an early low of 1.0398 against the euro, the franc advanced to a 1-week high of 1.0387.
Against the pound, the franc edged up to 1.4519 from yesterday’s closing value of 1.4554.
If the Swiss franc extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 131.50 against the yen, 0.90 against the greenback, 1.02 against the euro and 1.38 against the pound.
