Taiwan’s jobless rate remained unchanged in April, in line with expectations, figures from the Directorate General of Budget and Statistics, or DGBAS, showed Friday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.75 percent in April, the same as in March. This was in line with expectations.
However, on an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.09 percentage points to 3.63 percent in April.
The number of unemployed persons fell by 10,000 to 421,000 in April, while the number of employed individuals rose slightly to 11.170 million from 11.162 million in the previous month.
The labor force participation rate came in at 58.51 percent in April, down from 58.55 percent in the preceding month.
