The Luigi Colani 1-Off Testa D’Oro Ferrari

This 1 Off Ferrari dating back to Y 1989 came with an impressive 750 hp twin turbochargers flat 12 posted a world speed record.

The 1st thing you notice when looking at this Superca is its rounded, organic form. Its unconventional design is attributed to Luigi Colani. The German industrial designer went from creating cars for companies such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Volkswagen, and BMW in the 1950s to designing in any domain in the 1970’s, including this Y 1989 modified Ferrari Testarossa.

This car was built to break the land speed record at Bonneville.

Based on a Testarossa with a 5.0 Ferrari-Lotec twin-turbo on its flat 12 engine, this Ferrari successfully broke the record in its class in 1991, reaching 351 km/h (218 mph) with catalytic converters.

The Supecar is currently on exhibition at the Maranello Purosangue Museum. Here is the office site for the Museum: www.maranellopurosangue.com
