The U.S. dollar trimmed its early gains against European major counterparts in pre-European deals on Monday.

The greenback pared gains to 1.5228 against the pound and 1.0091 against the franc, from its early highs of 1.5207 and 1.0052, respectively.

The greenback was trading lower at 1.0745 against the euro, off its prior 6-day high of 1.0687.

The next possible support for the greenback is seen around 1.10 against the euro, 0.99 against the franc and 1.54 against the pound.
