The U.S. dollar came off from its early highs against the other major currencies in pre-European deals on Thursday.
The greenback was worth 1.4976 against the pound and 122.22 against the yen, reversing from its early 2-week high of 1.4923 and an 8-day high of 122.64, respectively.
The greenback retreated to 0.9937 against the franc and 1.0876 against the euro, from its early 9-day highs of 0.9964 and 1.0832, respectively.
