The U.S. dollar strengthened against most major currencies in the European session on Friday.
The U.S. dollar rose to a 3-day high of 1.1350 against the euro and a 2-day high of 0.9553 against the Swiss franc, from early lows of 1.1395 and 0.9495, respectively.
Moving away from an early low of 1.5486 against the pound, the greenback advanced to 1.5445.
Against the Australian, the New Zealand and the Canadian dollars, the greenback edged up to 0.7269, 0.6795 and 1.2902 from early lows of 0.7337, 0.6886 and 1.2848, respectively.
If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.12 against the euro, 0.97 against the franc, 1.51 against the pound, 0.70 against the aussie, 0.65 against the kiwi and 1.31 against the loonie.
