UK Halifax HPI data shows a drop in Jan
– mm -0.9% vs 0.0% exp vs 1.6% prev revised down from 1.7%
– yy 5.7% vs 6.0% exp vs 6.5% prev
The report is one of three for the UK and whilst these falls have been expected the confirmation of softer trend will not be helping the pound’s cause any time soon.
