Permanent job placements in the U.K. increased at the fastest pace in seven months in November, the Report on Jobs compiled by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG showed Monday.
The number of people placed in permanent jobs rose further in November and the growth was strong and picked up to a seven-month high.
Similarly, temporary and contract staff billings climbed at a faster pace, marking the strongest growth in six months.
At the same time, the availability of staff for both permanent and temporary/contract roles fell at sharp and accelerated rates in November.
Demand for staff continued to increase in November, but the rate of growth eased to a 29-month low.
Considering the regional and sector variation, the fastest rate of expansion in permanent placements signaled in the North.
Midlands-based agencies reported the fastest growth of temp billings during November, while the slowest rise was signaled by those in the South.
