US Stock Indexes Finished On Their Lows, Volume Light

DJIA -82.91 at 17766.55, NAS 100 -46.83 at 5021.63, S&P 500 -13.55 at 2079.28

Volume: trade was light Monday with less than 685-M/shares exchanged on the NYSE

The S&P 500 (-0.7%) finished below its 100-Day MA at 2,085 for the 1st time since late March, next Key support is the 200-Day MA at 2045, the NAS 100 (-0.9%) under performed the broad market Monday.

The Greek FM, Yanis Varoufakis, met with Germany’s Wolfgang Schaeuble, Monday, describing the meeting as “very helpful.” It has been reported that there appears to be growing differences between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Mr. Schaeuble with regard to the handling of the Greek crisis.

Technology (-1.2%) lagged the day, keeping a cap on the overall market.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) 127.80, -0.85, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) 45.73, -0.41, and Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) 543.48, -6.05 lost between 0.7% and 1.1%.

Shares of Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) 31.30, -0.54 settled lower by 1.7%, the broader PHLX Semiconductor Index fell 1.9%.

Transport stocks: the Dow Jones Transportation Average losing 2.1%. The complex narrowed its June advance to 0.4% as all 20 components registered losses with JetBlue’s(NASDAQ:JBLU) 19.02, -1.47 or – 7.2% leading the dive.

The industrial stock sector (-0.7%) under performed on the the day.

Consumer staples (-0.1%) and telecom services (+0.2%) ended near their flat lines; healthcare (-0.4%) and utilities (-0.6%) settled ahead of the broad market.

The Wholesale Inventories report for April (consensus 0.2%), the April Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey will both be released at 10:00a EDT.
