FXStreet (Córdoba) – Wall Street indexes closed with modest gains on Tuesday, recovering from 2 days of losses, as investors shrugged of lack of progress in Greek talks and await the the FOMC’s policy meeting.

The DJIA rose 113.31 points, or 0.64%, to 17904.48. The S&P 500 gained 11.86 points, or 0.57%, to 2096.29, while the Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 25.58 points, or 0.51%, to 5055.55.

On the data front, US housing starts fell 11% to 1.036 million in May against expectations of 1.100 million. However, building permits, a gauge of future demand, rose 11.8% to 1.275 million, the fastest pace since August 2007.
