Bank of America (BAC) and Wells Fargo (WFC) posted lower quarterly profits and increased reserves to cover bad loans from their energy portfolios. Data on Thursday showed U.S. consumer prices barely rose in March, while jobless claims fell more than expected and sank to levels last seen in 1973.
