A man who offered a woman a ride was robbed, then kicked out of his car when he let the woman drive and she met up with another man, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Gerilyn Henn, 25, of Loxahatchee Groves, was arrested Monday on a carjacking charge.
The carjacking happened at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. A deputy found the carjacking victim about an hour later, missing shoes and bleeding from his right foot.
The man said he let Henn drive his vehicle as the two went to a Royal Palm Beach gas station. The woman pulled into the side of the gas station when suddenly a man came up to the vehicle. He and Henn then started reaching into the victim’s pockets and robbing him, according to the report.
Henn and the mystery man stole $150 and a cell phone from the man’s pockets, the report states.
Deputies found Henn Monday at the El Torito restaurant in Lake Worth. Henn initially said she drove to Royal Palm Beach to meet a friend and coincidentally saw a man from whom she buys narcotics, according to the report.
She later changed her story, saying she called the other robber beforehand. When the robbery happened, she said she didn’t get any money, according to the report.
The vehicle owner was kicked out as the other two drove off. Henn said she was later kicked out of the vehicle somewhere on State Road 441 and hasn’t seen the other man or the car since, she told investigators.
Henn was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and is being held on $10,000 bail.
