The Japanese yen strengthened against most major currencies in the early European session on Tuesday.
The yen rose to a 5-day high of 127.52 against the euro, from an early low of 128.29.
Pulling away from early lows of 177.98 against the pound and 124.89 against the Swiss franc, the yen edged up to 177.47 and 124.46, respectively.
If the yen extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 126.00 against the euro, 174.50 against the pound and 120.00 against the franc.
