Australia will on Thursday see November figures for private sector credit, headlining a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
Credit is expected to add 0.6 percent on month and 6.8 percent on year after gaining 0.7 percent on month and 6.7 percent on year in October.
South Korea will release December numbers for consumer prices, with forecasts suggesting a flat monthly reading and a 1.1 percent increase on year. That follows the 0.1 percent monthly decline and the 1.0 percent yearly gain in November.
Malaysia will provide November data for producer prices; in October, producer prices were up 2.3 percent on month and down 2.6 percent on year.
Finally, a numbers of the regional bourses are either off or closing early for New Year’s Eve. Australia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore will close early, while Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam will be closed.
