FXStreet (Bali) – China’s lackluster economic progress may see a phase of stabilization during the second semester of this year, according to Fan Jianping, Chief Economist at the State Information Centre, cited via the state-controlled China Securities Journal.

Jianping told the China Securities Journal, and reported by Reuters, that “China’s growth trajectory will be “L” shaped, rather than “V” shaped, and it is difficult to predict when the world’s second-largest economy will rebound.” According to the Economist, there is further room to engage in expansionary policies by the PBOC via lower interest rates and reserve requirement ratio (RRR).
