The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended October 24 and advance GDP data for the third quarter are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of these reports, the greenback showed mixed trading against its major rivals.
While the greenback rose against the yen and the pound, it declined against the franc. Against the euro, it held steady.
The greenback was worth 1.0952 against the euro, 120.96 against the yen, 1.5260 against the pound and 0.9906 against the franc as of 8:25 am ET.
