The National Association of Home Builders is due to release its housing market index for May at 10:00 am ET Monday. Economists expect the index to rise to 57 in May from 56 in April.

Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the pound, it climbed against the rest of major rivals.

The greenback was worth 1.1344 against the euro, 1.5674 against the pound, 0.9222 against the franc and 119.87 against the yen as of 9:55 am ET.
