Dutch industrial production increased for the second straight month in April, though at a slower pace, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Tuesday.

Industrial production rose 0.9 percent year-over-year in April, slower than March’s 1.6 percent growth. In February, production had fallen 0.5 percent.

Production in the pharmaceutical industry jumped 16 percent in April from a year ago and that for transport industry grew by 9.0 percent. Meanwhile, chemical industry logged a decline of 7.7 percent.

On a monthly basis, industrial production climbed a seasonally and calender adjusted 2.0 percent in April, surpassing economists’ expectations for a 1.5 percent hike.
