GBP leads the majors to the upside.CAD is the biggest loser
The GBP is ending the day as the strongest of the majors. All the major pairs saw solid gains for the GBP. The snap election announcement by UK PM Theresa May was considered more supportive, and shorts in the GBP were forced to cover. The CAD was the weakest against the runaway GBP but also lost ground vs. other pairs after Trump spoke negatively about NAFTA.
