As expected, the European Central Bank kept interest rates unchanged at 0.05 percent. Following the announcement, the euro changed little against its major rivals.
The euro was trading at 1.0883 against the greenback, 1.0418 against the franc, 135.02 against the yen and 0.6983 against the pound around 7:48 am ET.
