At 5:00 am ET Friday, Eurozone economic confidence survey results are due. The economic sentiment index is seen falling to 103.8 in August from 104 in July. The business confidence index is expected to fall to 0.34 from 0.39 in July.

The euro traded mixed against its major counterparts before the data. While the euro rose against the pound and the greenback, it held steady against the franc and the yen.

The euro was worth 1.1296 against the greenback, 1.0859 against the franc, 136.35 against the yen and 0.7337 against the pound at 4:55 am ET.
