Comments from the Fed’s Evans on MNI:
– No rush to curb Treasury reinvestments after liftoff
– Not predisposed to vote against a Dec liftoff
– Would rather wait but not primed to dissent against a Dec hike
Evans is one of the biggest doves at the Fed. If he’s not yelling and screaming about dissenting and that the Fed is making a big mistake then I think he realizes a hike is a fait accompli and is moving on to fight the next battle.
