Germany’s manufacturing turnover dropped for the second straight month in March, figures from Destatis showed Monday.

Manufacturing turnover fell a seasonally and working-day-adjusted 1.0 percent month-over-month in March, faster than previous month’s 0.8 percent decrease, which was revised from a 0.7 percent decline estimated earlier.

Domestic turnover edged down 0.1 percent in March from the previous year and business with foreign customers dipped by 1.9 percent.

On an annual basis, manufacturing turnover climbed at a slower pace of 0.6 percent in March, following a 1.2 percent growth in February.

In the first quarter of this year, total manufacturing turnover expanded a working-day-adjusted 0.8 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.
