Following the release of Canada GDP data for November at 8:30 am ET Friday, the loonie advanced against its major rivals.
The loonie was trading at 1.5333 against the euro, 1.0915 against the aussie, 86.19 against the yen and 1.4047 against the greenback around 8:34 am ET.
