Canada’s trade data for March will be out at 8:30 am ET Tuesday. The deficit is seen at C$0.80 billion, lesser than the C$0.98 billion shortfall recorded in February.

The loonie showed mixed trading against its major rivals before the data. While the loonie rose against the yen and the greenback, it held steady against the euro and the aussie.

The loonie was valued at 1.3431 against the euro, 0.9521 against the aussie, 1.2079 against the greenback and 99.70 against the yen at 8:25 am ET.
