Luxembourg’s unemployment rate held steady for the third straight month in June, figures from the statistical office STATEC showed Friday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate came in at 6.9 percent in June, the same rate as in the previous three months. A year ago, the unemployment rate was 7.2 percent.
The unemployment rate was the lowest since August 2013, when it marked the same 6.9 percent.
The number of unemployed people was 17,985 in June versus 17,981 in the preceding month. In the respective month last year, the jobless figure totaled 18,536.
On an unadjusted basis, the number of registered unemployed persons decreased to 16,833 in June from 17,229 in May.
