With nearly two-thirds of Germans currently opposed to a fourth term for Chancellor Merkel (see "Thousands Of Germans Demand Merkel's Resignation; Protest "Open Door" Immigration Policy") and a humiliating loss in German state elections on Sunday, coming in third place to the anti-immigration, eurosceptic AfD party in her own home state, many have speculated whether Merkel's days as a public servant may be numbered.  Support for the Chancellor has waned as Germans blame the tide of rising migrant violence on her open border immigration policies while Merkel insists that "Islamist terror in Germany wasn't imported with refugees…terror existed in Germany before the refugee influx."

Certainly events like this weekend's attack of five women in the German city of Hildesheim only serve to bolster the rising tide of nationalism in Germany and throughout Europe.  Apparently the latest sexual assaults were committed by three teenage migrants of Afghan and Iranian descent who accosted and assaulted five different women over the weekend.  Police reports indicate the men were "trying to kiss them, grope them and have sex with them."  According to Breitbart London, when the women rejected their advances the migrants grew violent and threatened to hit the non-compliant women in the head with glass bottles.

Police say that the victims of the attack, all between 18 and 21-years-old were walking down the streets of the city at around 2:40 am when they were approached by the trio of migrants. The migrants spoke to the women in English and attempted to corner them and kiss them. The victims say that the gang made various physical gestures that made it clear they were after sex.

When the women resisted the migrants by telling them to go away and using body language to ensure the migrants understood they weren’t interested, the migrants became irate. The men followed the women and then set upon them, striking the women in the face and grabbing their buttocks. One migrant kicked one of the women in the stomach.

After the beating the migrants once again tried to engage the women and this time threatened to smash several glass bottles of beer and champagne over the heads of the women if they didn’t comply with the demands of the migrants.

Police arrested two of the three migrants, a 16-year-old Afghani and a 17-year-old Iranian. The third attacker managed to flee and police say they are still looking for him. According to the authorities the 16-year-old was visibly drunk and his partner passed out during the interrogation process due to circulatory issues, likely caused by alcohol.

All that said, we're sure Germany's sexual assault problems will go away once winter arrives as Swedish Psychotherapist Börje Svensson has assured us that the rising tide of sexual assaults in Europe are more likely due global warming rather than soaring Muslim immigration (see ""Expert" Says Rising Rapes In Sweden Due To Global Warming Not Soaring Muslim Immigration").

Meanwhile, the New York Times recently reported on the growing anti-immigrant sentiment in Denmark.  One Dane openly admitted that while he used to be sympathetic to the plight of the "Muslim asylum seekers," he has since been worn down by growing violence and the financial ramifications of open borders and now says he has "become a racist."

Johnny Christensen, a stout and silver-whiskered retired bank employee, always thought of himself as sympathetic to people fleeing war and welcoming to immigrants. But after more than 36,000 mostly Muslim asylum seekers poured into Denmark over the past two years, Mr. Christensen, 65, said, “I’ve become a racist.”

Christensen, like many Europeans, is concerned that migrants are draining social welfare programs funded by Danish citizens.  He also points out that many asylum seekers have no intention of adapting to Western culture saying that "Muslims want to keep their own culture, but we have our own rules here and everyone must follow them.”

He believes these new migrants are draining Denmark’s cherished social-welfare system but failing to adapt to its customs. “Just kick them out,” he said, unleashing a mighty kick at an imaginary target on a suburban sidewalk. “These Muslims want to keep their own culture, but we have our own rules here and everyone must follow them.

Denmark, a small and orderly nation with a progressive self-image, is built on a social covenant: In return for some of the world’s highest wages and benefits, people are expected to work hard and pay into the system. Newcomers must quickly learn Danish — and adapt to norms like keeping tidy gardens and riding bicycles.

Perhaps the leading — and most substantive — concern is that the migrants are an economic drain. In 2014, 48 percent of immigrants from non-Western countries ages 16 to 64 were employed, compared with 74 percent of native Danes.

Unlike Germany, Denmark has taken steps to stem the tide of migrants flowing into their country.  Among other measures, Denmark has increased the difficulty of their "citizenship test," slashed state-funded benefit packages and passed laws allowing authorities to confiscate assets of arriving immigrants to offset the cost of their resettlement.

Last year, Denmark placed ads in Arabic-language newspapers stressing its tough new policies, essentially suggesting: Don’t come here.

Muslims do not assimilate as easily as Europeans or some Asians, said Denmark’s culture minister, Bertel Haarder, partly because, as he put it, their patriarchal culture frowns on women working outside the home and often constrains freedom of speech.

“It’s not racism to be aware of the difference — it’s stupid not to be aware,” Mr. Haarder said. “We do them a blessing by being very clear and outspoken as to what kind of country they have come to, what are our basic values.”

In the wake of Brexit and calls from former French President Sarkozy for the demolition of the "Calais Jungle" and for migrants "with no rights to be here [to] return to their country" it certainly seems as though Merkel's open border policies are becoming the outlier in Europe.
