Norway’s unemployment rate held steady for the second straight month in November, in line with expectations, the Labour and Welfare Administration, or NAV said Friday.
The registered jobless rate came in at 2.9 percent in November, the same rate as in the previous two months. The figure was also matched with consensus estimate.
In the corresponding month last year, the unemployment rate was 2.6 percent.
The number of unemployed people decreased to 79,159 in November from 79,974 in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 71,008.
