Poland’s jobless rate declined for the second straight month in April, the Central Statistical Office said Tuesday.

The registered jobless rate dropped notably to 11.2 percent in April from 11.7 percent in March. It was expected to drop to 11.3 percent.

The unemployment rate stood at 13 percent in the same period of last year.

The number of registered unemployed fell to 1.78 million from 1.86 million in the prior month. Unemployment totaled 2.08 million a year ago.
