Portugal’s industrial production remained unchanged in November, while retail sales growth slowed, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Wednesday.

Industrial production showed no variations in November from a year ago, following a 4.2 percent gain in the previous month.

Production in the utility sector fell 0.4 percent annually in November and that for manufacturing sector slid by 0.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, industrial production slipped 4.0 percent in November, reversing a 2.9 percent climb in October.

In a separate report, the statistical office announced that retail sales grew at a slower pace of 1.1 percent yearly in November, after a 3.7 percent hike in the preceding month.

Retail sales have been rising since December last year. The latest rate of increase was the weakest in this sequence.

Monthly, retail sales dropped 1.6 percent in November, in contrast to a 1.0 percent climb in the prior month.
