The euro ascended Thursday as Germany’s factory orders climbed faster than projected in June.
Destatis reported German factory orders rose to 2.0% in June from 0.3% in May.
The common currency ended at 1.0942 per US dollar from Wednesday’s 1.0897, and 0.7001 per British pound from 0.6981.
It also finished at 1.0690 per Swiss franc from 1.0675, 1.4916 per Australian dollar from 1.4819, and 1.4395 Canadian dollar from 1.4349.
Against the Japanese yen, the currency closed at ¥136.47 from ¥136.14.
