Hillary Clinton has reached the majority of the delegates required to make her the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party. Clinton has attained the majority of 2,383 delegates, with the combination of 1812 pledged delegates and 572 super delegates. Meanwhile, her opponent Bernie Sanders has 1566 delegates, with 1, 520 pledged and 46 super delegates. A candidate is required to secure the majority of all delegates, with the ‘magic number’ of 2,383 to win the nomination.
Hillary’s camp acknowledges the victory, but states that the former secretary of state will continue working hard to win the primaries as six states vote on Tuesday.
