Switzerland’s economic expectations rebounded in December, survey data from the Centre for European Economic Research/ZEW showed Wednesday.

The ZEW-CS Indicator for Switzerland rose to 16.6 in December from exactly zero points in November. The reading almost bounced back to the level registered in October.

The index reflects the expectations of the surveyed financial market experts regarding the economic development in Switzerland on a six-month time horizon.

The indicator assessing the current economic situation also improved in December. The indicator gained 9.5 points to a slightly negative level of minus 2.7 points.
